Snug Harbor Cultural Center, in partnership with The Vanderbilt Republic, is pleased to present the first of two live productions as response and investigation of εὖτόπος (“Eutopia”) — a large-scale art installation by Sabrina Barrios, Sarah E. Brook, Charles Heppner, Carlton Scott Sturgill, TAXIPLASM, TJ Volonis & Dale Williams — on view until 11 September 2016 at the Main Hall, Hyphen over Shinbone Alley, Newhouse Galleries and Chinese Scholar’s Garden on Snug Harbor’s 83-acre campus at 1000 Richmond Terrace.
FOOK! BLACK & WHITE FOLLIES brings the power of an international arts collaborative to the divisions of hatred in America. Joining FOOK! curators Jeff Goldberg and Darius James in this site-responsive festival of subversion will be a roster of FOOKSTERS including:
+ the Dada electronica of Xambuca
+ spoken word by Marcus Bowers and Annabel Lee
+ author Stewart Meyer (The Lotus Crew)
+ Bilgerat and the Seadogs, singing songs of protest and sea shandies
